The Government of India has set up Commodity Board as a separate organization to promote the export of commodities. The Government of India has established commodity Boards to guide production and export of commodities in their jurisdiction.


The functions and objectives of Commodity Boards are given below:
  1. Undertaking promotional activities such as participation in exhibition and trade fairs, conducting marketing surveys, sponsoring trade delegations, etc.
  2. Promoting the consumption of commodities by opening branch offices in foreign countries.
  3. Resolving all problems relating to commodities
  4. Undertaking research activities to develop production and marketing activities within the country.

  2. Duly filled Bank certificate as per prescribed format [Download]
  3. Registered mobile number while applied for IEC
  4. Registered Email Id applied for IEC
  5. GST Certificate
  6. Individuals or companies or firms cancel cheque copies of current bank accounts
